Who we are

OddCinema is run by [Company or legal name], [Registered address]. We are responsible for your personal data under this policy. Questions and requests go to [privacy@your-domain].

What we collect

• Account: your email address and password, or your email and basic profile details if you continue with Google. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our login provider.
• Profile: your display name, photo, banner, bio and links. These can be shown publicly.
• Activity: what you watch and how far you get, your ratings, your saved series and the creators you follow.
• Coins: your balance, transactions and the episodes you unlock.
• Creators: the series, episodes and images you upload, your earnings, your PayPal or Wise email, and your support messages.
• Technical: request details such as IP address, device and browser, which our hosting and security providers process to run and protect the service.

How we use it

• To run your account, play episodes and remember your progress.
• To recommend series based on what you and others watch and rate.
• To process coins, creator earnings and payouts, and keep accounting records.
• To answer support requests, keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, and our legal obligations such as accounting rules.

We don’t sell your personal data, show third-party ads or use third-party analytics.

Who we share it with

We share data only with providers who help us run OddCinema, and only as needed:

• Supabase for login and our database, hosted in Ireland.
• Cloudflare for storing and delivering video and images.
• Google if you choose to continue with Google.
• Whop for coin payments, once purchases open. They handle your payment details, and we don’t see your full card number.
• PayPal or Wise when we pay a creator.
• Our web hosting provider, and authorities or advisers when the law requires it.

Some providers may process data outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove your login, payout method, follows, ratings, watch history and saved list. Your name, photo and bio are replaced so your profile no longer identifies you, and your series are taken down.

We keep what we still need: coin, unlock and payout records (including the payout email used) and support messages, for accounting, legal and dispute reasons. An episode someone has bought may stay available to that buyer. Image files you uploaded can remain in storage after deletion. Email us if you want them removed.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your name in Account, and download your data or delete your account there too.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to the use of, or move your data. To do so, email [privacy@your-domain]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies and local storage

We use only what the service needs to work, not advertising or tracking cookies:

• Login cookies that keep you signed in.
• A cookie that remembers whether the sidebar is open.
• Browser storage that remembers whether this device has signed in before, resumes interrupted uploads and returns you to the right place after buying coins.

Children

OddCinema isn’t for children under 13, or under the minimum age for using online services without parental consent in your country. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security

We encrypt data in transit, limit who can reach our database and use short-lived links for video. No service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes

We’ll update this page when our practices change, and tell you in the app or by email about significant changes.
